Protective Intelligence Network in Switzerland - Certificate of Advanced Studies

In December 2024, for the 8th consecutive year, Protective Intelligence Network instructors delivered a customized training on "Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) & Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT) Exploitation for Security Practitioners."
This training was part of the prestigious Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in "Corporate Safety & Security: People, Processes, and Environments", a program offered by the Haute Ecole Spécialisée de Suisse Occidentale (HES-SO) in collaboration with the Swiss Police Academy of Savatan, a distinguished institution in Lavey-Morcles (VD), that plays a key role in equipping law enforcement and security professionals with cutting-edge skills.
Held at the innovative security and safety department of the CHUV (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois) in Lausanne, one of Switzerland's renowned hospitals, the course provided CAS trainees with practical knowledge of lawful online investigation techniques, equipping them to maximize the potential of open-source platforms for criminal and security investigations.
The training concluded with an exclusive visit to CHUV’s cutting-edge security command center, a hub of innovation in security technology and operational efficiency.
Trainees were given a firsthand look at the advanced systems and protocols that make CHUV a leader in hospital security management, integrating state-of-the-art surveillance, risk assessment, and incident response capabilities. This visit highlighted the real-world application of the skills covered during the course, reinforcing the importance of modern, integrated security solutions.
The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) program is a postgraduate qualification accredited by HES-SO, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland. In just 15 years, HES-SO has grown into a hub of innovation and knowledge, driving socio-economic and cultural development in seven cantons. With 27 schools under its umbrella, HES-SO is a leader in Swiss and international higher education.
This collaboration between Protective Intelligence Network, HES-SO, and the Swiss Police Academy of Savatan showcases a shared commitment to advancing the expertise of corporate security professionals through innovative training and immersive, practical learning experiences.
