Protective Intelligence Network's New Training Courses 2024

Welcome to the 2024 suite of training courses offered by Protective Intelligence Network.

This year, we are proud to present an expanded catalog of training options designed specifically for the evolving needs of public, law enforcement, intelligence, and security professionals.

Our curriculum integrates several cutting-edge developments in the field of security training. Highlighting our advancements is the incorporation of a state-of-the-art social media simulation platform used by NATO's Centre of Excellence for high-pressure training scenarios. This immersive tool allows participants to engage with realistic, dynamic simulations, honing their skills in a controlled yet challenging environment.

We are also thrilled to introduce new expert trainers to our team, including former officials from the Singapore Police Force who will lead our Investigative Mastery training. Additionally, the innovative "Sky Guardian" course will be delivered by seasoned airline captains and aviation security managers, offering unparalleled insights into aviation security.

Given the sensitive nature of some topics covered, certain courses require participants to undergo a security vetting process, unless they are already verified members of a law enforcement agency, civil servants, military personnel, or security practitioners. We understand the diverse needs of our clientele, which is why we offer customization options for the duration of our courses, adapting them to the specific requirements of our participants.

All of our courses are designed to provide a comprehensive blended e-learning experience. This includes a mixture of lectures, rich audio-visual content, interactive tabletop exercises, and engaging class interactions, alongside practical, hands-on deck exercises to solidify learning.

For detailed information on each course—including content outlines, the breadth of topics covered, and the unique aspects of our innovative training approach—please visit our website under the "Training Courses" **section. Terrorism Studies and Counter Terrorism Behavioural Detection

The advancement of behavioral detection plays a pivotal role in mitigating the persistent risk of terrorist attacks in modern society. This critical function, once the exclusive domain of specially trained law enforcement officers, now sees broader inclusion with private security professionals actively contributing to this specialized domain.

A practitioner skilled in Counter-Terrorism Behavioral Detection is adept at identifying subtle cues that might suggest an individual is out of place among their surroundings. Such an operator is trained to anticipate suspicious behavior, identify deceit, and recognize the signs of hostile reconnaissance.

The curriculum of this course is centered around three key themes:

1) Understanding of terrorism, including the ideologies of terrorists and extremists, potential targets, and the tactics they employ;

2) The study of criminal and human behavior within the contexts of criminal activity and terrorism;

3) Mastery of surveillance and counter-surveillance methods, along with the deployment of relevant technologies.

In practical terms, the course delivered in Singapore lays the groundwork for:

  • Comprehending various forms of terrorism and acts of political violence;

  • Employing protective measures through human behavioral scanning and screening within a counter-terrorism framework;

  • Recognizing indicators of deception through verbal cues and body language patterns;

  • Gaining insight into surveillance strategies and identifying individuals engaged in hostile surveillance activities.

Note: Please note, this course is primarily designed for law enforcement personnel, military members, and security practitioners. Due to the sensitive nature of the content covered, participants not affiliated with these professions will undergo a vetting process prior to enrollment to ensure the appropriateness of their participation
