In May 2018 Protective Intelligence Network trainers supported IOM Thailand in delivering a training course for Law Enforcement Officers on Combating Smuggling of Migrants and Trafficking in Persons. the training was organised with the support of the Canadian Embassy in Thailand, and aimed to support specialised officers of the the Royal Thai Police (RTP) Immigration, Investigative units, and RTP academy. The training was organised in Bangkok and saw the participation of 25 RTP officials. The principal objective of the training aimed to enhance the capability of the police in dealing with smuggling of migrants and trafficking in persons investigations.
