Published on 3rd November, 2017
Protective Intelligence Network trainers supported IOM Thailand in order to offer three workshops to improve inter-agency coordination on the identification, investigation and prosecution of human smuggling and trafficking cases. In September, the first batch to complete the workshop comprised of 12 immigration officers from the Thai Immigration Bureau, 8 prosecutors and 7 provincial police investigators from Bangkok, Phuket, Ranong, Sakeo and Chonburi.
The remaining two more workshops will be held in November 2017, and January 2018. About 90 officers are expected to benefit from the capacity building initiative in total.
